5 Reasons We Should Choose React Over Angular for Next Web Development App

React is a powerful, efficient, and versatile JavaScript library that offers a range of advantages for web and mobile applications. Here are five reasons why React should be chosen for projects:

First, React is fast, efficient, and scalable. This makes it ideal for creating complex user interfaces that need to display and update data quickly. Second, React is easy to learn and use. Its component-based architecture makes it simple to create and maintain reusable code. Third, React promotes code reusability, which means less time and cost spent on development. Fourth, React is well-supported, with a vibrant community of developers who can help you with any issues you may encounter. Finally, React is highly secure, providing developers with enhanced security to protect their applications.

Additionally, React provides a wide range of libraries and tools that can be used to speed up the development process. With React, developers can create complex user interfaces quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, React's open-source nature allows developers to collaborate with others on projects and integrate existing solutions. React's flexibility makes it a great choice for developers looking to create dynamic user interfaces that are easy to maintain and scale.

2. Ease of Learning and Use

3. Improved Performance

4. Rich Component Library

5. Community Support and Resources

A Few Drawbacks of Angular

One of the factors that forced developers to look beyond Angular was its steep learning curve. Moreover, it offered different ways to accomplish the same task, which often confused the developers to take the best approach.

JavaScript was mandatory for using Angular. Furthermore, it was also compulsory for the developers to have knowledge on the MVC (Model View Controller) architectural patterns, failing which it can be very time consuming.

Although using the two-way binding can prove beneficial, if we see this in the larger context, then it only creates more complexity and affects the performance of the web app.

The dependency on DOM for the execution flow makes it difficult to test and debug the execution order.

There are more than 2000 watchers that can drastically slow down the UI.

React as the Alternative

One of the best replacements that developers have found is to switch over to React in place of Angular.

Now the question is why React? So, one of the obvious reasons is that React is basically a JavaScript Library used for creating user interfaces developed by Facebook.

Therefore, you cannot put it into the category of framework as such. However, like Angular you can develop single-page applications and even write the self-contained components.

Unlike Angular, it allows one-way data binding and encourages the practice of virtual Document Object Model. It also uses the lifecycle methods to execute the codes at set points in case of component failure.

In addition, it allows the implementation of the JSX that helps in structuring the component rendering and makes use of known syntax.

Performance

Performance could be the turning point for most developers to change their minds from Angular to React.

React uses Virtual Dom, whereas Angular uses a traditional Dom.

Now, In traditional Dom, if you want to update specific information of your user, Angular will rewrite the whole structure of the Html Tree.

Whereas, React Virtual Dom allows you to update the changes without rewriting the entire HTML.

In short, React Virtual Dom is faster than the Angular Traditional Dom.

But angular has something called change detection which updates the DOM whenever data is changed.

Due to this, angular DOM performed as effectively as virtual dom.

React Unidirectional data flow ensures that the state change takes place meticulously even in complex projects.

Data flow control is very simple to react to even for large projects.

Opposite to React Unidirectional nature Angular Bi-directional data flow makes it even complex for large applications to deal with data quickly.

However, Bi-Directional binding is easier to work with.
